Typically, your customers will want to book your facility for the same time and day every week. Often referred to as 'block bookings', these make up the majority of all bookings for most sports venues.
It is important to ensure that you have a smooth process for these customers. Taking an example, your loyal customer Harry Kane wants to play every Thursday night from 7-8 for the next year. You don't want to have him enter 52 slots for this year long booking.
We handle this by allowing you to choose the first 7-8 slot, and then set the period of time this block booking should run for. This time is then booked out for Harry for as long as you have selected!
The next step is payment. Harry doesnt want to have to pay for the whole year up front, even on his wage! We can manage this in one of two ways.
The first is to allow Harry to pay by bringing his payment to the venue each week - pay as you play, with Pitchbooking developed tools to streamline and reconcile these payments available from your Manager Dashboard.
Our second and more popular approach with our partners, is to set up a subscription payment. This creates a recurring payment every week, which comes out of Harrys bank account. This has the benefit of providing a reliable recurring income for the facility, without having to chase up missed payments or invoices, as well as ensuring Harry has a manageable payment method, with no lump sum or need to collect money every week.
We also allow for exclusions - ensuring that on weeks where Harry has agreed with the facility owner that he can't play, he isn't charged, and the facility is available for other users to book. This feature is completely at the discretion of the facility owner.
Finally these subscriptions can be paused (remember Lockdown being announced in March 2020 and the need for a feature like this?) ensuring users arent charged, and you can un-pause them when business is back to usual.
