Coach CPD - Derby City

This coach development event is a chance for coaches to observe a Derby County Academy youth development phase training session, before hearing from the coaches on the focus of the session.

This coach development event is delivered by FA Womens Goalkeeping Talent Coach Harry Watson. This event is designed to educate coaches and give further information on the technical and tatical demands of a goalkeeper.  The outcomes of this session are:

• To understand the in possession and out of possession tatical demands of a goalkepper
• To understand the technical demands needed for different goalkeeping actions
• To observe a goalkeeper session deliver by Harry Watson 

The outcomes of this CPD are to:

1. Understanding different coaching styles and how to use them on a match day
2. Understanding how to set challenges to players to allow them to further develop and implement information from training
3. Explore other resources that you can use to help you coach on a matchday

This coach development event is for coaches who are working in the 9v9 game or are about to transition into the 9v9 game. The outcomes of this CPD are:

1. Understand the difference of coaching in the 9v9 game compared to other formats
2. Know the challenges that 9v9 can impose on your players and how to deal with this
3. Explore the formations and tactics that you can use in this format

This coach development event is for coaches who are working in the 11v11 game or are about to transition into the 11v11 game. The outcomes of this CPD are:

1. Understand the difference of coaching in the 11v11 game compared to other formats
2. Know the challenges that 11v11 can impose on your players and how to deal with this
3. Explore the formations and tactics that you can use in this format
