Background on The Precision Goalkeeping Experience Camps

The Precision Goalkeeping Experience Camps, now in their third year, are a key event for developing young GAA goalkeepers. Led by Tyrone senior goalkeeper, Niall Morgan, who has been playing for his county since 2013 and a Precision Ambassador since 2017, this event is a highlight for aspiring athletes and coaches alike.

This year, the event boasted an impressive 84 young goalkeepers and a wide range of inter county goalkeeping coaches, making organisation of the events a complex undertaking.

In the past, managing this event involved a lot of manual work, using tools like Google Forms for registration and PayPal for payments. This meant a lot of time was spent checking between the two platforms and then uploading all the information onto various Excel documents. Thankfully, this year, Niall got in touch with the team at Pitchbooking, who stepped in to change all of that.

The Pitchbooking Difference: A Game Changer

According to Niall, Pitchbooking has been a game-changer in how he manages the enrollment, signups and payments for his events. Here's how:

● Reduced Administrative Burden: Pitchbooking eliminated the need for endless email checks, cross-referencing multiple accounts, and making time-consuming phone calls. This saved Niall hours of administrative work, allowing him to focus on other aspects of the event.

● Simplified Data Collection: The software made it easy to collect essential participant data, including names, dates of birth, club codes, gender, allergies, and contact numbers. This information could be downloaded directly to an Excel document, eliminating the need to manually transfer data and preventing errors.

● Automated Payment Processing: Pitchbooking automated the payment process, making it easy to take payments securely and efficiently.

● Automatic Place Management: The software automatically reduced the number of available places as bookings were made. This helped create a sense of urgency for participants and prevented overbooking. With a set limit of 84 places and seven coaches, the system kept track of space availability automatically.

● Dedicated Portals: Pitchbooking allowed for the creation of separate portals for coaches and players, simplifying the management of these different groups.

● Easy Onboarding: The onboarding process with Pitchbooking was incredibly fast, requiring only a 20-minute team meeting and a quick run-through of the user-friendly dashboard.

● Responsive Support: When issues arose, Pitchbooking provided quick and effective support, ensuring smooth operations.

By streamlining everything from registration to payment processing, Pitchbooking not only saved valuable time, but it also ensured a smoother and more efficient event for everyone involved. For Niall Morgan and the team, the transition to Pitchbooking was a huge success and a massive time saver, eliminating hours of administrative work. The benefits of using Pitchbooking speak for themselves, making it an invaluable tool for managing complex sports events.
