Just under 12 months ago, we launched invoicing within Pitchbooking. This allowed our Facility Managers to create invoices for unpaid bookers, and automatically send them an invoice with payment instructions appended.
We have seen fantastic uptake on this feature, as it gives our partners an additional payment collection option.
Invoices 2.0 - Payment Links
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been rolling out payment links as an option for collecting payment for invoiced customers. Previously, invoices would be created and sent out, with bank transfer details included. Then when the invoice was paid, Facility Managers could simply mark the invoice as 'paid' in our system and the amounts would be correctly reconciled.
However, we are always looking at methods of reducing admin for our customers. Managers want to reduce the amount of administration they need to complete, whilst facility bookers would often prefer to just pay quickly with their card, and not have to login to their banking app to send over a bank transfer.
*Enter Payment Links. *
Now, there is the option for a Manager to include an online payment link for any invoice they create. When a customer receives an invoice, they can:

Click the payment link direct in the email they receive

Enter their card details

Payment is taken directly
On top of this, when a customer pays via a payment link, all of the bookings included on that invoice have thier payment status automatically updated to paid in Pitchbooking.
Payment links are handled through Stripe, the same as any other online payment on Pitchbooking.com - and therefore has the same protections and security that you have come to expect. More information on Stripe, including PCI certification and Security can be found here
